I am a PhD student in Prof. Yao’s Advanced Manufacturing Lab and completed my undergraduate Mechanical Engineering degree at Columbia as part of the 3-2 program. My role is to give voice to graduate student interests and advocate on their behalf to the faculty. I encourage graduate students to reach out to my university email with concerns.

I work in Dr. Gerard Ateshian's Musculoskeletal Biomechanics Lab. My research focuses on cartilage biomechanics.
Post-graduation plans
Hopefully a postdoc and eventually a job in academia.
Things you do outside of school/hobbies
I run local road races and play on a few softball teams. I also take a lot of ice baths.
Advice for upcoming students
Prioritize your classes ahead of research if you haven't passed the qualifier yet. And don't get stuck in Morningside - explore the rest of the city!

Hang out with friends, check out new spots in the city, sometime i like leaving the city. During the summer, I like running in central park.

Experience NY! Get out of the Columbia area as often as you can.
